Earlier in the year I moved our peonies. I had originally planted them at the bottom of the garden and so we rarely enjoyed them at their best. I decided to move them nearer to the house. This year, as I expected, they have not flowered so well but I am confident they will recover and flower again next year.
This is the only peony flower in our garden this year.
The geraniums, however, are flowering profusely and are attracting a mass of bees!
I am trying to make a collection of geraniums but naming the varieties is difficult :-)
I am hopeless with Latin names (I didn't learn Latin at school).
Any advice on remembering Latin names will be gratefully received :-)

I find it hard to remember names at all, let alone Latin names! That is a beautiful peony. Val
I did poorly in Latin...I find it best to write the names down....
your peoney is lovely. Always good to see bees...

Lovely photos, the Peony is lovely! I have the same Geranium, it's amazing and great for ground cover - I plan on propagating it to cover bare patches around the garden!
If you would like to call in and collect it there's an award nomination in my latest post. You may not be into those thingies but I wanted you to know you're appreciated!
Lovely photos. You did well to move your Paeonies and still have them flower, some people say they can't stand being moved at all but I think that is a bit of an exaggeration. I have one which is too near to tree roots, so I am going to risk moving it when it has finished flowering, wish me luck!!!
