Up The Garden Path

It's May already and the garden continues to develop.
This is not an instant garden, it has taken years to get this far, and there are still plans to move the shed and make changes.
This path runs below the washing line and I walk it at least twice daily in dry weather :-)
But the flower beds are full and that's what I had always hoped for.
Colour, variety, and no soil on view :-)
The Geraniums are filling out.
The Azaleas are in flower.
London Pride is sending shoots into the air.
And the Forget Me Nots are filling in the gaps.
Some may consider them a weed, but they have their uses.
And they are free! Once you have them they will seed for years.
They are aptly named :-)
Last year the frogspawn was stolen from the wildlife pond, this year the simple plastic netting barrier has saved it.It is teeming with tadpoles.Lastly, our allotment has been taken over by someone else. Despite what I was told, allotments are a lot of work; ours proved too much last year and we gave it back. This year we are growing our salad in containers on the patio.
We are grateful to have one garden :-)

I love the forget me nots (I have also a white sort of them) as they cover the soil now where I finally should plant some flowers. Your garden really looks "mature" and beautiful. It would be interesting to see the same path in summer, when everything is blooming.
Enjoy May!

Your garden is looking good. I love this time of the year when everything is waking up and beginning to look colourful.
