Grass, Drifting Sands & Frog Spawn

My husband cut the grass for the first time this year. Although we have had bitter winds the ground temperature has been quite mild and the grass continues to grow! Today we have found frog spawn in our pond. We are absolutely amazed to find it so early in the year, we have not seen or heard any frogs or toads yet so they must been out when it was cold and we were tucked up by the fire.

I have recorded this on BBC Springwatch. I wonder if it is the first?
This afternoon we went down to the beach to take pics of waves :-) We missed the high tide again but found the beach has shifted onto the road. Evidence of the strong winds we have had lately.

The sky changed colour East to West
We could have built sand castles
We could have made sand angels Looks like rain!
Time for tea :-)

No danger of our grass needing mowing anytime soon - we have plenty of snow and got some more today! Thank you for your nice comment in my blog. Have a nice week.

Dear Chris,
Your beach is so lovely! Sand, I do so love sand. Waves, I do so love waves! Such a lovely place you live in.
It will be a few months before my husband is mowing grass again. I think about Spring but do not expect it until mid March at the earliest. Your potting shed looks so charming. I see all sorts of resting perennials. Looking forward to seeing your gardens in bloom.
